Rochdy Zem is a French actor and singer. He is best known for his roles in the films Le Petit Lieutenant (2005), La Vie en Rose (2007), and La Star de Claire Chazal (2016). He has also appeared in a number of television series, such as Le Grand Meaulnes (2006–2007), Les Revenants (2012–2013), and Les Hommes de l’ombre (2015–2016).
Zem began his career as a singer in the band Les Rois Mages in the late 1990s. He released his debut solo album, L’Ascenseur, in 2008. He has also released several singles, including “Je vous aime” and “J’aime tes larmes”, which were both featured on the soundtrack of La Vie en Rose. In 2014, he released the album L’Echo des montagnes.
In 2016, Zem starred in the film La Star de Claire Chazal, directed by Noémie Lvovsky. The film follows the story of a journalist, Claire Chazal (played by Lvovsky), who is forced to retire from her job after 25 years. Her son, played by Zem, is an aspiring actor and singer who struggles to break into the entertainment industry. The film was well received by critics, who praised Zem’s performance and Lvovsky’s direction.
